About Dr. Daniel Etheridge

Dr. Daniel Etheridge is a lifelong Chesapeake native and the founder of Greenbrier Dental Center. Born and raised in the Indian River section of Chesapeake, Dr. Etheridge knew from an early age that he wanted to pursue a career in healthcare. He graduated from Indian River High School in 1973 and went on to attend the College of William & Mary, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1977.

Dr. Etheridge continued his education at the Medical College of Virginia, earning his degree in Pharmacy. While in pharmacy school, a family friend who was a dentist encouraged him to consider a career in dentistry. Inspired by that advice, Dr. Etheridge went on to dental school while continuing to work as a pharmacist. In 1984, he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Medical College of Virginia.



In 1985, Dr. Etheridge opened Greenbrier Dental Center with a vision of creating a practice where patients would feel welcomed, valued, and genuinely cared for. What began as a small, two-person, one-chair practice has grown into a 26-operatory practice with five dentists and a dedicated team of professionals.

Despite the practice’s growth, Dr. Etheridge believes strongly that exceptional dentistry begins with exceptional customer service. From the beginning, his goal has been to create a neighborly practice where patients feel known, comfortable, and cared for as individuals. That philosophy continues to guide everything the Greenbrier Dental Center team does today.

Each of the practice’s five doctors is supported by a dedicated team of four to five team members and a team leader who is responsible not only for clinical excellence but also for ensuring that every patient receives the personalized, compassionate care they deserve. Dr. Etheridge believes that even within a large practice, patients should never feel like a number. They should know that their team knows them, understands their needs, and genuinely cares about their experience.

Dr. Etheridge is deeply devoted to his family, church, patients, and employees. Outside of the office, he is an avid golfer and enjoys traveling, exploring the country, and sharing memorable meals at great restaurants with his wife. After more than four decades of caring for the Chesapeake community, Dr. Etheridge remains passionate about dentistry and, most importantly, about the people who have made Greenbrier Dental Center what it is today.
