Dr. Lisa Doan is our newest member of the Greenbrier Dental Center family.
Dr. Doan graduated from Kempsville High School in Virginia Beach. She earned her Bachelor of Science - Honors Biology degree at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia and attained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) from VCU School of Dentistry in Richmond, Virginia. Following dental school, she entered a residency for Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the V.A. Medical Center in Miami, Florida. From here, she obtained advanced experience in all aspects of dentistry with an emphasis on complex prosthodontics, endodontics, and operative dentistry while acquiring the skills to manage medically compromised patients.
Dr. Doan is passionate about the field of dentistry and loves that it is a mix of art, health, and science. Dentistry allows her to build close relationships with her patients while improving their overall health. She has a wonderful chairside manner, a gentle hand, and takes extra care to listen to her patients in order to provide her patients with exceptional care. She always tries to make experiences in the dental office as pleasant as possible.
She believes in giving back to the community. Dr. Doan has worked as a volunteer for several charitable organizations including; The Charlottesville Free Clinic, Special Olympics and the VCU Mission of Mercy Project. She has helped to provide free dental care to residents of underserved areas in Virginia through the Mission of Mercy Projects. Dr. Doan has also participated in two separate mission trips to Jamaica, providing access to free dental care to the residents of the island. Dr. Doan has a passion for service and continues to give back in Miami, FL. She has organized donation drives for children’s homes and talked to their families about proper oral care and the importance of dentistry early in a child’s life. Dr. Doan plans to continue donating her time to the community throughout her career.
Dr. Doan is a member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and is an active member of the Delta Sigma Delta Service Fraternity.
When Dr. Doan is not focused on dentistry, she enjoys the beach and traveling. She enjoys spending time with her Shiba Inu puppy, Bruno. They enjoy hiking and playing fetch on the beach together. Dr. Doan loves to cook and experiment with new recipes. She has recently tried her hand at baking different treats.
Dr. Doan was born and raised in Virginia Beach and is excited to finally return home after almost a decade away, and is excited to rediscover the area and all the things that Hampton Roads has to offer.
